We are renting a charming attic apartment at Sevogelstrasse 123 in the Basler Gellert, right by the St. Jakobs-Denkmal. It is located on the 4th floor (no lift, no balcony) in one of the sought-after Baumgartner-Häuser.

The apartment features an open kitchen facing the living area, equipped with an induction cooktop, an exclusive Bora extractor system, and a dishwasher. The living area and the bedroom are fitted with parquet flooring. A shower with glass walls is available in the bathroom. Additionally, a connection for a washing machine is provided.

The smaller and quiet property is located after the tram stop Denkmal; the city center is reachable within minutes, as is the Bahnhof SBB.

The name Gellert comes from Göllhart (cleared Hard), because as part of the city fortifications, the area had to be free of forest. Basel families planted fruit and vineyard gardens there. On the St. Jakobs-Strasse, the exit road into the Birstal, the Sommercasino stood in an extensive park from 1824. The city walls were successively demolished from 1859, towers were torn down, the ditches were filled in, and the land was released as building land. The St. Alban-Tor was preserved.
